REAR AXLE LEVEL SENSOR AND HEADLIGHT LEVELING
A recall on 2021 GLB250 models addressed a rear axle level sensor linkage not always installed correctly. Since the sensor feeds data to the automatic headlight leveling system, a faulty linkage can point headlights improperly, reducing visibility for oncoming drivers at night. Mercedes-Benz inspected and repaired affected linkages under the recall. We check the level sensor connection and headlight aim on GLB models coming in for service, correcting the linkage if it shows signs of the original defect.
DRIVER-SIDE WINDOW AIRBAG MOUNTING RECALL
Mercedes-Benz recalled certain 2021 GLB250 and AMG GLB35 vehicles after finding the driver-side window airbag was not always mounted correctly to the A-pillar. A poorly secured airbag reduces its effectiveness during a side-impact crash, when it's designed to help keep occupants inside the vehicle. Dealers inspected and corrected the mounting under the recall. We verify airbag mounting hardware on affected GLB models during safety inspections, giving owners confidence their restraint systems are secured correctly.
MBUX DISPLAY AND REARVIEW CAMERA SOFTWARE FAULT
A software error in the MBUX multimedia system affected certain 2019–2021 GLB models, causing the center display to go black or reboot unexpectedly after startup. Since the rearview camera image routes through the same display, the fault also knocked out rear visibility while backing up. Mercedes-Benz resolved the issue through a dealer or over-the-air software update. We confirm MBUX software is current on GLB models we service and test the rearview camera function as part of every inspection.
TAILGATE SIDE SPOILER DETACHMENT
Mercedes-Benz recalled certain 2020–2021 GLB250 and GLB35 models over side spoilers on the tailgate installed with insufficient adhesive or fasteners, allowing them to detach while driving. A spoiler separating at speed creates a road hazard for following vehicles. Dealers inspected and secured affected spoilers under the recall. We check tailgate spoiler attachment points on GLB models during routine service, reinforcing or replacing hardware showing early signs of loosening.
REAR AXLE BRAKE HOSE CHAFING
A recall on 2024 AMG GLB35 models addressed rear axle brake hoses routed in a way allowing them to chafe against nearby components. Chafing wears through the hose over time, risking a brake fluid leak and reduced stopping power. Dealers rerouted the affected hoses under the recall. We inspect brake hose routing on GLB models coming in for brake service, correcting placement before wear turns into a fluid leak.
